The
last year, on the initiative
of Prof. Nik Kasabov, we
have set up a Bioinformatics Special Interest Group (BI SIG) within the
Technical University of Plovdiv. The success of the Founding Seminar of BI SIG has demonstrated that there is a substantial
interest in the field of Bioinformatics. Following on this, we organize and host a one-day workshop on September 20th, 2005. The main purpose of the workshop is to provide
opportunities for discussions on topics related with Computational Intelligence in Bioinformatics. Moreover,
