September 6 - 8, 2008 - IEEE IS'08 Special Session on BioInfo

This year the annual BioInfo event (BioInfo'2008) will be integrated into the IEEE IS'2008 International Conference (September 6-8, 2008, Varna, Bulgaria) as a special session "Computational Intelligence for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology". 5th October 2007 - BioInfo'2007 Workshop

On October 5th the third BioInfo workshop will be organised in connection with the International Conference AUTOMATICS&INFORMATICS'2007. The goal of the workshop is to bring together researchers in the mathematical, computational, control engineering and life sciences to discuss the current state of affairs and novel research results in bioinformatics, bioautomatics and biometrics. 8th July 2004 - Founding seminar of BI SIG

Prof. Nikola Kasabov gave a talk on the following topics: "Contemporary Development of Neural Networks"and "Bioinformatics - Knowledge Engineering Approach".

 

Prof. Nikola Kasabov is the Foundation Director of KEDRI, and a Chair of Knowledge Engineering at the School of Computer and Information Sciences at AUT, Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand, Fellow of the New Zealand Computer Society and a Senior Member of IEEE. His main research interests are in the areas of : intelligent information systems, soft computing, neuro-computing, bioinformatics, brain study, speech and image processing, data mining and knowledge discovery.
